Spring Trash Day
Spring Trash Day will be held April 20 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the township park.
Shredding will not be offered this spring. Tire recycling will be offered; no commercial truck or tractor tires. All tires must be removed from the rims.
The township cannot take garbage, yard waste, hazardous chemicals or paint that is not dried in the can. Appliances do not have to have the Freon removed.
Electronics will not be accepted; however, there is a computer recycling container at the park year round.

Hambden Community Picnic
This year’s picnic is a go. The community picnic will take place Aug. 11 from 1-5 p.m. at the township park.
A band has been booked and Banjo the Clown will be back.
The first meeting was held April 16 at the township hall. An update of what was covered will be in next week’s column.
The committee welcomes all the help it can get. Please join in making this the best picnic ever.
