Chardon Schools Launches Online Survey
Survey Active May 6-17
"Before the board makes a decision in June, we wanted to take some time to hear our community's thoughts and expectations.” – Michael Hanlon
Chardon Schools has launched an online survey to get additional stakeholder feedback about how community members, parents and staff perceive the district’s education and facilities.
The survey will be active from May 6-17 and can be accessed by visiting the district’s website, www.chardon.k12.oh.us.
“Our Facilities Advisory Committee consisting of local residents, elected officials and educators, made a recommendation to the board of education in January to consider moving forward with a bond issue to address all of our facility challenges. Before the board makes a decision in June, we wanted to take some time to hear our community’s thoughts and expectations,” said district Superintendent Michael Hanlon.
Participants will be asked about the district’s academic quality, facilities and potential master plan. Survey respondents will be kept anonymous and their results will be used solely for research purposes.
“As educators, we know the impact our school buildings have on education. New buildings would be transformative for our students, teachers and community,” Hanlon said. “That’s why listening to our main stakeholders is so important to ensuring the plan is in the best interest of our students, community and the educational excellence of our district.”
