A year after signing a letter of intent, the Geauga County Commissioners voted 2-1 May 12 to purchase the Geauga County Public Library’s Administrative Center for $3.2 million. Commissioner Carolyn Brakey cast the lone dissenting vote, citing concerns about county spending and financial uncertainty. County officials plan to convert the building into the new Geauga County Senior Center.
