Stabber Indicted for Chardon Incident
Joshua M. Shelden, 30, was indicted Monday by a Geauga County grand jury with felonious assault, a second-degree felony.
Chardon police say Shelden stabbed a 22-year-old at Cleats Club Seat Grille on South Street with a small knife after shouting at the victim across the bar.
The victim was treated at the hospital and released for wounds to his neck and back, which were not life-threatening.
Shelden’s girlfriend told the Geauga County Maple Leaf that Shelden is a disabled Marine veteran who served in Iraq and is suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.
Shelden has not yet been assigned a judge for his case, which is now before the Geauga County Common Pleas Court.
