United Way Services of Geauga County welcomed four new members to its board of directors in 2016.

The new members are Stephanie Zigman, from Geauga Park District; Heather Moseman, of Moseman Law Offices; Paul Malanaphy, of Leaders Properties; and Doug DeLong, superintendent of Berkshire Schools.

Zigman has served as human resource manager at the county park district since fall of 2015. She is interested in serving on the board because she has a strong sense of responsibility to help carry out the mission of United Way, according to Joann Randall, UWSGC program manager.

In addition to practicing law in Geauga County, Moseman has experience serving on many non-profit boards throughout Lake and Geauga counties. Her varied experience, along with her many business and community contacts, make her a valuable addition to the board, Randall said.

Malanaphy is hoping his service on the board will allow him to make a positive impact on the life of someone in need, Randall explained. He is a property manager of mobile home communities and recently completed Leadership Geauga.

As a long-time Geauga educator, DeLong brings a wealth of knowledge in the education realm, That knowledge will allow him to provide vital insight into the educational needs of Geauga students.

“Each of the new board members will provide unique expertise to our organization,” said UWSGC Executive Director Kimm Leininger. “We rely on our board members to provide key guidance on our organizational direction, community engagement and office operations. I’m excited to have these individuals join us and we look forward to tapping into their knowledge and unique skill sets as we work together with the community to improve lives.”
