The new Gordman’s in Maple Leaf Plaza opened its doors – and its checkbook – June 27 with a $1,000 check to Chardon High School, presented during the store’s grand opening. Chardon Schools Superintendent Michael Hanlon says Gordman’s contacted the district, where they were informed of a project to revitalize a CHS courtyard, led by students in Rob Mizen’s Service and Leadership class.
