Chardon City Council member David Lelko attended his final council meeting May 14, saying goodbye to decades of service to the city through both elected office and administrative leadership. Lelko served as city manager — then called village manager — from 1989 until his retirement in 2011. He was later elected to city council in 2015 and had been reelected in November 2025 to serve another term.
