Meijer has announced it will open a new supercenter in Bainbridge Township on May 6, continuing its expansion across Ohio.

The 159,000-square-foot store, located at 7300 Aurora Road in Aurora on the former Geauga Lake amusement park site, will become the family-owned retailer’s 59th location in the state.
The new supercenter will offer Meijer’s signature mix of fresh grocery and general merchandise, including a full-service bakery, meat, seafood and deli departments, as well as a floral section and garden center. Shoppers will also find apparel, home goods, electronics, toys and sporting goods. A full-service pharmacy with a convenient drive-thru, along with health and beauty products and an expanded pet department, will also be available.
Additional details about the grand opening are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
“The feedback we’ve received from customers about the value and convenience we offer is consistently positive,” said Todd Anderson, Meijer’s Vice President of the Ohio Region. “We’re excited to bring that experience to our neighbors in Aurora and Bainbridge Township and to be part of the historic redevelopment of the Geauga Lake site.”
