CHARDON Margaret I. (nee Rice) Whitright, of Chardon, died Jan. 13, 2013, at The Homewood of Richmond Heights. She was 91.

Born Oct. 20, 1921, in Cleveland, she lived in Wickliffe before moving to Chardon in 1949.

Mrs. Whitright was a meat wrapper for Golden Dawn, retiring in 1977.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Whitright of South Euclid and Curt (Janet) Whitright of Munson Township; grandchildren, Cheryl (Matt) Lertwiler of Concord Township, Brian (Beth) Whitright of Thompson Township and Shona Cathan of Munson; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Joshua Leutwiler and Austin and Aiden Whitright, Cloe, Bailey and Liam Cathan; and great-great-granddaughter, Katrina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Whitright, whom she married Oct. 24, 1942. He preceded her in death Dec. 20, 2001.

Her parents, Hugh and Edna (nee Skillman) Rice are also deceased.

Private graveside services were held.

Betty J. Wilson

PARKMAN TWP. Betty J. Wilson, age 86, a lifelong resident of Parkman Township, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Burton Health Care. She is together again with her husband, Carl.

She was born on Jan. 23, 1926, in Parkman, daughter of Clarence and Marie Hopkins.

She graduated from Parkman High

School in 1943 and married Carl B. Wilson. They were married 67 years before he died in August 2010.

Betty first worked at Johnson Rubber and then she was a cook at the Middlefield Sale Barn and at Parkman Elementary School. She also was an Avon representative.

She was a member of Parkman Congregational Church; Womens Fellowship; 55+ Club; Garrettsville Senior Citizens; and Hiram Senior Citizens.

Betty will be missed dearly by her friends and family, including her children, Judy Gorton of Chardon and James Wilson of Kokomo, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Tara Wilson of Parkman; brothers, William Newkirk and Robert Caris; grandchildren, Adrian (Jenny) Gorton of Chardon, Jason Wilson of Cuyahoga Falls, Kris (Terri) Wilson of Fort Irwin, Calif., Joshua Wilson of Hudson, Kevin (Melissa) Wilson of Fort Bliss, Texas, Summer Wilson of West LaFayette, Ind., Cade Devoll Wilson of Parkman; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son Edward Wilson; parents; and three brothers, Dick, Clarence and Jerry Hopkins.

There will be no visitation or service.

Bettie Jane Scheele

MILAN, OH Bettie Jane Scheele, 90, residing in Milan, passed away early Sunday evening, JAN. 13, 2013, at Gaymont Nursing Center after a brief illness.

Bettie was born in Cleveland on May 26, 1922, to the late Charles and Bertha (nee Schill) Staufer.

She dedicated 27 years of work to Munson Elementary as their school secretary.

Bettie’s hobbies included knitting, crocheting and baking.

She is survived by her three daughters, Linda (Marion) Horne of Milan, Bonnie Scheele of Kirtland and Barbara (John) Bertleff of Kirtland; grandchildren, Janice Fisher and Jeanette Axford; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Dorothy (George) Reichle of Fairview Park.

Including her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 1990; and her brother, Kenneth Staufer.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Mapleview Cemetery in Chardon at a later date.

Robert N. Nemunaitis

CHESTER TWP. Robert N. Nemunaitis, 71, of Chester Township, passed away Jan. 12, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born Nov. 24, 1941, in Cleveland, he had lived in Chester Township since 1984.

Robert enjoyed cars, westerns, his dogs and traveling to casinos. He also loved the company of his grandchildren. Robert was loved by all.

Mr. Nemunaitis was a guidance counselor at West Geauga Middle School, retiring in 2003.

Survivors are his wife, Virginia “Ginger” (nee Menart); daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Nemunaitis-Keller and Kristen (Frank) Hendl; sons, Robert L. (Millie) and Kenneth; grandchildren, Alex and Avery Hendl, and Allison and Aaron Keller; brother, John (Charlene); sister, Eleanor (Joseph) Seach; brother, Daniel (Mary); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsie Nemunaitis.

Friends called from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Church of Saint Anselm, 12969 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. The. Rev. Thomas Sweany will officiate.

Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s name may be made to St. Anselm Church.

Ann Despina Cratsas

MUNSON TWP. Ann Despina (nee Floratos) Cratsas, age 90 of Munson Township, died Jan. 14, 2013, at Chardon Healthcare Center.

She is the wife of the late Anthony Tony Cratsas, to whom she was married 57 years.

Ann was a homemaker and is survived by nieces and nephews.

Her parents, Louis and Thelxinoi (nee Paramariti) Floratos, are also deceased.
