Nearly 200 quilts showcasing both traditional craftsmanship and modern design will be on display during the monthlong Quilts 2026 exhibition at Lake Metroparks Farmpark.
The exhibit runs from March 27 through April 26, with hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and highlights intricate patterns, vibrant colors and personal stories stitched into each piece.
“Each quilt tells a story, highlighting the creativity, patience and personal experiences of the artists behind them,” said Andrea Pasquale, event specialist for the Farmpark. “Quilts 2026 gives visitors a chance to appreciate these works of art and the skill and passion that goes into every stitch.”
New this year is the Quilt Inspiration Series, a set of free lectures scheduled on select Sundays at 2 p.m. The series will feature presentations on storytelling through fabric, nature-inspired designs and color techniques.
Scheduled programs include:
- March 29: “Stories in Fabric” by Elizabeth Bauman
- April 12: “Nature Inspired Quilts” by Nelly Vileikis
- April 19: “1-2-3 Color My Quilt” by Nelly Vileikis
- April 26: “A Feast from the Fragments” by Sabastianna Costanzo
In addition to the exhibit, visitors can shop local vendor booths during Quilt Vendor Days on April 17 and 18. Demonstrations featuring quilting tools and techniques will be offered throughout both days.
The event is presented by Creative Stitches of Ohio, 7031 Mayfield Road, Windsor, Ohio, and is included with regular Farmpark admission, which ranges from $7 to $9. Admission is free for Farmpark members, children younger than 2, and active military personnel and their families.
