The following is a sampling of the calls handled by the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office May 13 through May 19. In total, the sheriff’s office handled 278 calls during this seven-day period.

AGENCY ASSIST

May 15

2:21 a.m., Auburn Road, Concord. BP at 44 & Auburn. Female is telling someone not to come behind the counter, open 911 line. Multiple units are responding from multiple agencies. Deputy and Sergeant responded to assist LCSO with a possible robbery in progress. Upon arrival the Painesville Police Department and Kirtland Hills Police Department had a male under arrest and advised they did not need any assistance. LCSO was notified and advised GCSO could clear.

EXTRA PATROL

May 13

9:57 a.m., Campton Ridge Drive, Chardon. The complainant is again requesting extra patrol for speeders, especially during the mid/late mornings and late afternoons. Caller states that the people living toward the culdesac of the road and even UPS/FedEx drivers going to the culdesac travel down the hill at a high rate of speed. The callers states there is approximately 10 families with small children and he is concerned for their safety. The complainant has requested deputies place a speed trailer on the road and attempt to slow the drivers down.

May 16

11:43 a.m., Mock Orange Lane, Auburn. Caller recently sold her house. A male took interest in a rug that she had but said he would comeback later. He made comments that made her feel uncomfortable. He came back and she told him the rug was sold. He then said he wanted to call her and take her out for lunch. She was advised to also call if or when he comes back to the area.

SUSPICIOUS

May 13

3:58 p.m., Coventry Court, Auburn. The caller would like to meet with a deputy. She returned home and said something stripped the bark off of her tree. Deputy advised. Spoke with the party and learned the small kids next door caused the damage. The party stated they will speak with their parents and handle it.

May 17

11:37 p.m., Main Market Road, Troy. There was just a black Escalade that pulled into the driveway and backed into the dark part of the driveway. Deputy advised. Male advised bar was closed and he wanted some drinks with his girlfriend.

May 18

10:11 p.m., Bass Lake Road, Munson. Vehicle sitting in the eastbound lane, lights off but the dash lights appear on. Caller would not describe vehicle further due to it being dark. Deputy advised. Driver stated he stopped because he wasn’t feeling good. Deputy did not smell any odor of drugs and or alcohol. Deputy conducted a check of the driver’s eyes and no clues were viewed. Driver was sent on his way.

THEFT

May 19

7:37 p.m., Pekin Road, Newbury. Caller needs a deputy to come take a report for theft. Caller states she had an amazon package delivered today and her husband saw a male in a red hat take the package and get into a gold minivan and leave.

TRESPASSING

May 16

7:50 a.m., Rock Creek Road, Hambden. Property owner has asked Nelson?Tree Service not to park in her parking lot. Apparently the gas station clerk has told them they could so they have ignored her request to leave the property. She would like a deputy to ask them to leave the property again. They leave garbage piled up and destroy her asphalt. Deputy explained to tree workers they are not to park on Plaza property per the owner. They understood and left.
