For the fourth consecutive year, Preston Superstore will help support student-athletes at Cardinal Local Schools in partnership with Cardinal Athletic Boosters by donating a vehicle to be raffled off at the last home game of each football season.

This year’s big raffle will be for a Red 2026 Ford F250 4×4 Supercab, with the winning ticket pulled Oct. 2.

One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit the Boosters’ general fund. The first year’s raffle allowed the Boosters to fund pay-to-participate fees, which have since been eliminated.

Ever since, it has allowed the team to donate toward large-scale projects, including outdoor batting cages and new volleyball systems for Cardinal Elementary and Jr./Sr. High School.

It has also funded an annual subscription to Hudl, a video analysis platform that helps athletes, coaches and teams review game footage, analyze performance and improve strategy.

On this year’s radar, the Boosters hope to purchase new scoreboards and locker room upgrades, as well as renovations at Cardinal Jr./Sr. High School.

Cardinal Athletic Boosters President Erin Ruskiewicz said the group’s only goal is “to help give the student-athletes the best experience while being a Huskie: safety, skill-building and a little swag!”

Tickets for this year’s raffle went on sale April 1 for $20. They can be purchased at any of the Cardinal Schools’ administrative offices, from some local businesses around town, and of course from any Cardinal Huskies athlete, but also online at www.prestonsportsraffle.org.

Starting in May, monthly early-bird drawings will also be held for $500 in cash. Winning tickets then go back in for all remaining drawings, meaning that the earliest ticket-buyers will have up to six chances to win significant prizes.

We are grateful to Pat Preston and Preston Superstore for giving us the opportunity to run this raffle and support our Huskies,” Ruskiewicz said. “Their generosity allows us to make maximum profit on sales and achieve some pretty lofty goals for our student athletes’ Huskie experience.”
