Art Students Give Thanks
Art students at Berkshire High School created 112 cards on Nov. 28 in support of the A Million Thanks card campaign. The cards were addressed to active duty service members, veterans and military families, many of whom will be away from home or apart for the holidays, in order to give thanks and provide encouragement and holiday cheer. The Berkshire initiative was spearheaded by senior art student Anna Loveland. Thank you for caring, BHS.
Artwork on Display in Columbus
Junior Aiden Burkley was recently selected to send a work of art to the “99 Show” in Columbus. The show is sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association, the Ohio Arts Council and the Ohio House of Representatives.
Her pastel piece will hang with 98 other pieces of artwork for an entire year in a special exhibition of high school artwork on display at the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts in Columbus.
Congratulations, Aiden. Berkshire is very proud of you.
