Cardinal Seniors Honored
The American Legion Post 459 in Burton honored Cardinal High School students at its annual Commander’s Reception on June 28.
Carli C. received the Christafferson Memorial Scholarship for $1,000, Lucas F. received the Katz Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 and Brant Z. received the Educational Scholarship for $500.
The American Legion Auxiliary also presented Cardinal High School senior Faith B. a $1,000 scholarship.
Academic All-Ohio Honors
Recent Cardinal graduates Lucas F., Joseph T. and Brant Z. have been named to the Academic All-Ohio Honors team for baseball.
Academic All Ohio honors are done through the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA). To qualify, student athletes must be a graduating senior baseball player with a 3.25 GPA and at least a 22 on the ACT or 1650 on the SAT.
Campus Beautification Project
Alumni Sam Heredos and Kourtney Kelly from the class of 2013 are spending their summer helping to beautify the grounds around Cardinal schools. Recently, they spent several days removing old bushes, pulling weeds and cleaning up the Alumni Memorial Garden in front of Cardinal Intermediate School. Huskie Pride!
