9/11 Commemoration
Students and staff at both Cardinal Middle School and Cardinal Intermediate School participated in special flag raising ceremonies on Sept. 11 to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The ceremonies were conducted by Parkman Cub Scout Troop 4076, many of whom attend Cardinal schools. According to the pack leader, the event is a community service project for the scouts that helps them practice proper flag raising techniques and serves as an excellent way to teach other students about respect for their country.
New Huskie Pup Path
A Huskie “thank you” goes out to Alan Skeen, owner of Bright Stripe Painting, who donated his time and materials to paint this Huskie Pup pathway at Jordak Elementary School. The path will help students stay in a safe area when they walk to the playground from the building.
