Students Recognized at OMLA Breakfast of Champions
On March 13, the Ohio Middle Level Association (OMLA) hosted a Northeast Ohio Regional Breakfast of Champions to honor local student-leaders. Students were nominated by teachers for showing outstanding character, scholarship, leadership and service within their respective buildings.
Seventh-grader Norah Pope and eighth-grader Max Crandall, were among those students recognized.
More than 20 schools from across the region gathered together to celebrate the success of approximately 40 student leaders. Students were joined by parents, grandparents, teachers and administrators. The breakfast was keynoted by Flo Brett from the Effective Leadership Academy, who gave students helpful tips on how to lead in school and life.
“Norah and Max are respected by students and staff and strive everyday to do what is right,” said Principal Laila Discenza. “They are hard working, involved and kind. It is great having them at CFMS.”
