Thanksgiving Parade

Students in Miss Danielle Tufts first-grade class put on their own Thanksgiving parade, marching through the halls of Park Elementary School on Nov. 26.

The class has been reading Melissa Sweet’s book “Balloons Over Broadway” and learning about the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The students decorated balloons and marched them throughout the halls of the school for their fellow classmates to see. Miss Tuft’s class had a great time learning about this exciting holiday tradition.

Model UN Team Competes

Chardon High School’s Model United Nations team competed in the Cleveland Council on World Affairs Fall Conference at Case Western Reserve University on Nov. 18-19.

The hard-working delegates represented nations of the world to negotiate, debate and resolve some of the most pressing global issues of the day.

Over 500 students from across Northeast Ohio participated in the event. The next conference the CHS team is attending is the Cleveland International Model UN Conference at St. Edward’s High School in February.
