Governor’s Merit Scholarships
Eleven hardworking students have been offered the Ohio’s Governor’s Merit Scholarship. The scholarship provides up to $5,000 per year for four years of full-time education at a public, private or nonprofit college or university in Ohio for a total of up to $20,000.
The CHS students who earned the scholarship based on their weighted GPAs are Sarah E. Eads, Aubrey J. Fetchik, Jordyn M. Fisher, Aidan R. Gerlica, Audyn E. Haueter, Joseph B. Meleski, Lillyanna N. Pagano, Claire A. Stevenson, Rachel L. Suszynski, Henry C. Sweet and Walter J. Sweet.
The Governor’s Merit Scholarship program was established to recognize the hard work, dedication and accomplishments of Ohio’s top-performing high school seniors who rank in the top 5% of their graduating class and to encourage them to remain in Ohio for their postsecondary education. The scholarship provides funds that can be used to cover tuition, room and board, books and other educational expenses.
