Cereal Box Food Drive
Before winter break, Munson and Park elementary schools each hosted a one-day cereal box food drive benefiting the Pilgrim Food Pantry in Chardon. Munson collected 218 boxes of cereal, while Park collected 360.
Transportation Director Recognized
Chardon Local School District Transportation Director Josh Nau has been named Ohio’s Transportation Director of the Year by the Ohio Association of School Business Officials.
Nau was chosen out of a highly competitive pool of candidates and will be presented the award during the OASBO 2026 Annual Conference and Expo later this year.
“Josh is most deserving of this recognition for his tireless efforts in coordinating the safe and efficient transportation services for our students,” Superintendent Michael Hanlon said.
Along with receiving this award, Chardon Local Schools will receive a $2,000 scholarship to be presented to a graduating senior from the school district.
Congratulations to Josh on being named Ohio’s Transportation Director of the Year and to the entire transportation team on receiving the impressive recognition.
