Students in Mrs. Amanda Bunker’s class at Chardon High School recently enjoyed a productive day, applying classroom skills to real-life situations. Activities included budgeting, cost calculation, locating items through a store map, reading restaurant menus and calculating tips.
They visited local businesses including Walmart, Dollar Tree, Five Below and Home Depot to assemble items for a future school project. The students picked out flooring, paint swatches and bedding for their upcoming “Dream Bedroom” project.
They also had the opportunity to enjoy some delicious food from Bob Evans restaurant.
