The Gridiron Club is hosting its annual mulch fundraiser, where residents can purchase a minimum of five yards of mulch for $55 per yard. Go online, order and pay at the same time.
Orders must be placed by April 30. When ordering online, follow the instructions to choose the color of mulch and how many yards.
The football players will deliver and install the mulch the weekend of May 5, 6 and 7.
Girls Camp Sponsorship
Chardon School’s annual Girls Youth Basketball Camp for girls in second through eighth-grade is June 5-7 at Chardon High School gymnasium. At the end of the camp experience, each camper will receive a Lady Hilltopper Basketball Camp T-shirt. In past years, there have been more than 70 campers in attendance.
Starting this year, the district is seeking sponsors to help offset the costs associated with running the camp and increase the funds raised for the basketball program. In the past, funds raised from camp have been used to purchase uniforms, team backpacks, travel suits, equipment and team bonding experiences. Funds from camp this year will be used to update some equipment, provide spirit wear for players and purchase new practice jerseys.
By sponsoring the camp, one will be supporting the Chardon High School girls basketball teams and help provide these young women with an enjoyable and wonderful experience. Chardon hopes that it can count on the public to support its cause.
