Request for Community Input

The Chardon Schools Facilities Advisory Committee made a recommendation to the Chardon Board of Education in January to consider moving forward with a bond issue. Before the board makes a final decision in June on what that bond issue may include, the district is taking some time to gather feedback from its main stakeholders.

The district is inviting community members to participate in a listening session to help it better understand their perceptions of the district’s facilities and their impact on education. Community participation and feedback is greatly appreciated, because honest observations and perspectives are valuable and important for this process.

The discussions will be facilitated by independent researchers from Burges & Burges Strategists. Community input and feedback will be included in a summary report by Burges & Burges. No participant names will be used in their report.

Sessions will be held April 30 at 6 p.m. at Chardon High School, Room 1 or May 1 at 6 p.m. at Chardon Middle School, media room.

Contact Ashley Griffin at agriffin@burgesandburges.com or by calling 216-261-3737 with one’s name, email address and choice of session.

If anyone cannot attend a session, or chooses not to, there will also be a chance to provide input through an anonymous, online survey that will be distributed in the next few weeks.
