Family Science Day
The Chardon Local Schools faculty invites the community to a free event where Chardon students can explore, create and discover the magic of science. Chardon Family Science Day will be held April 23 in the Chardon High School gym from noon to 3 p.m.
An open house format with a prize drawing at 3:15 p.m., students can visit over 20 different hands-on stations and have fun while exploring science. Topics will include a tetrahedron building challenge, a star dome hosted by the Geauga Park District and creating a hologram projector.
A concession stand will be open during the event. The first 300 students in grades K-8 will receive a complimentary backpack and pen when arriving at the event to carry anything they create and handouts they receive at the stations. All participants will be given a ticket at each station they investigate to put in a drawing to win many great prizes, including a Sphero Robot.
