Junior Attends Engineering Camp

NDCL junior Jimmy Romano is the kind of student that takes advantage of summer break to explore interests. In addition to lending a helping hand during NDCL’s annual trek to Appalachia, Jimmy took advantage the time to explore professional interest at Rolla Materials Camp at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

As one of the 46 accepted into the program, Jimmy delved into the field of engineering by attending college lectures, lab demonstrations and participating in hands-on activities in materials engineering.

It seems that participating on NDCL’s Robotics team has piqued the interest of a future engineer.

Seniors Named Fair King and Queen

NDCL celebrates seniors Meghan O’Reilly and Danny Takacs named queen and king of the 194th Great Geauga County Fair.

Meghan is very involved in 4-H on the Geauga County and state levels. For the past three years she has served as Geauga County 4-H camp counselor and currently is secretary of the Geauga County Junior Fair Board.

Danny is a member of the Greener Fields and Hare Raisers 4-H clubs while working on his Eagle Scout project for Boy Scouts. Recently at NDCL, Danny coordinated a food and fund-raiser with Dr. Augie Kellis and his 4-H club through the Geauga Hunger Task Force.

Congratulations, Meghan and Danny.
