Important Historical Figures

Taking on a new persona in English is what Notre Dame Elementary School seventh-graders are currently studying. The students researched important figures in history, entertainment, sports, literature and pop culture.

Delivering informative speeches in the first person allows them to really get into character. They have learned so much. Some of the recent “celebrities” have been Lucille Ball, Amelia Earhart, Bo Jackson, Shawn Johnson and Bethany Hamilton.

Squad Likes to Cheer

The Notre Dame Elementary School cheer squad has been very active. The NDES cheer squad is made up of seven athletes from both fifth and seventh-grades.

The cheerleaders have tried to cheer at least once for each of the 17 basketball teams. They also performed at the school’s Walk-aThon pep rally and are going to kick off the actual Walk-a -Thon in May, which benefits the technology program at NDES.
