Swing into Baseball
Get into the swing of baseball season and join Kenston Center Stage as it presents the Broadway musical classic “Damn Yankees” April 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. and April 17 at 2 p.m. in the Kenston High School auditorium.
All tickets are reserved and cost $16, mezzanine; $14, floor; and $10, balcony seats. Tickets may be purchased through the Kenston High School website.
The story revolves around Joe Boyd, the number one fan of the Washington Senators baseball team. Mr. Applegate gives Joe the opportunity to recapture his youth and become the “one good long ball hitter” the Senators need to beat their much hated rivals and finally win the pennant. There’s just one problem. He must sell his soul to “you-know-who” and soon finds out the deal comes with unanticipated consequences.

Kenston Trails
Phase Two of the Kenston Trails will break ground this spring. It will extend the existing trail and add a memorial tree garden to honor the Benjamin King and Bill Hepker families. The King Family Trust donated $80,000 to the district with a portion designated to fund the expansion of the running and walking path on campus. The second phase will be completed in time for the Frank Gibas Cross Country Invitational at the beginning of September 2017.
