Timmons Lunch Bunch

Congratulations to Timmons Elementary School Students of the Month for May. The following kindergartners honored with “fairness” awards were Marissa Blackford, Allison English, Sheri Holodinski, Logan Linsz, Madison Mintz, Mia Patell and Maxwell Stefano.

First-graders were Soledad Carrion, Justin Cloud, Rocco DeLuca, Andrew DuBay, Mallory Hughes, Benjamin Peters, Samantha Pijor and Charles Thompson.

Second-graders were Samuel Berlin, Emily Collier, Janie Kerchenski, Rachel Lechak, Moises Martinez, Kate Mills, Justin Spehar and Sophia Suskowicz.

Third-graders were Grover English, Lauren Farrell, Ethan Gertsburg, Walker Glime, Noah Kubaitis, Mia O’Brien, Sophia Scafidi and Dominik Stupica.

Class of 2014 Honor Students

The following Kenston students in the Class of 2014 earned summa cum laude honors for achieving all A’s in their high school coursework were Jacob Enders, Kayla Gruen, Elizabeth Hutz, Lydia Jones, Margaret Lowman, Chloe Mikus, Mackenzie Morehouse, Kaitlyn Rizzo, Zachary Roshon, Joshua Sellers, Drew Weninger and Lori Zagar.

Earning magna cum laude honors with four B’s or less in their high school coursework were Claire Abourjeily, Taylor Bacon, Tanner Banning, Nathan Blake, Ellianna Brichmann, Katherine Coverdale, Kelly Cregar, Taylor Curtis, Kyle Dobies, Katherine Gross, Christopher Hoffmann, Kyle Hrabak, Macie Kleis, Jaime Kosiorek, Paige Lewis, Michelle Marein, Sarah Newcomb, Emily Newell, Paul Palumbo, Alexander Pietros, Hannah Ramadan, Anne Randall, Rachel Sauder, Kristina Simpson, Stephanie Soja, Rachel Tuskes, Jillian Waldorff and Dillon Yost.

Rotary Senior

Lydia Jones was selected Kenston’s Chagrin Valley Rotary Club Student of the Month for May. She maintains a 4.2 grade point average. She has earned five academic departmental awards and an academic letter. Lydia will graduate with summa cum laude honors.

Lydia recently starred as Sergeant Sarah Brown in the Kenston Center Stage production of “Guys & Dolls.” She is a member of Varsity Jazz Chorus, Envirothon and the Political Action Committee of Kenston (PACK). She is president of Rider’s Express 4-H Club, annually participating in local, 4-H and Geauga County Fair horse shows. She also volunteers at the Pawsibilities Humane Society of Greater Akron.

She plans to major in petroleum engineering at Marietta College, where she has been named a Pioneer Scholar.
