Kenston High School welcomes two exchange students this fall. Cristina Marazia, from Leece, Italy, is hosted by the Bailey family. Matheus Vigilato Barcelos is from Itapolis, Brazil. He is staying with the Abbarno family.

Rotary Senior

Corban Joyce has been selected Kenston’s Chagrin Valley Rotary Club Student of the Month. He maintains a 4.4 GPA and has received an academic letter by earning departmental awards in AP World History, French and Honors Pre-Calculus.

Corban is a member of the varsity soccer team and lacrosse club. He is a co-president of the senior class, French Club co-vice president and member of the Trivia Club.

He is currently manager on duty at the Golf Dome and volunteers as a youth counselor for Kenston Community Education Soccer Camp and Food for Friends.

He plans to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering.

Homecoming Parade

Kenston’s annual homecoming parade will take place Oct. 9. The parade, which begins at 6 p.m., will feature the Kenston band and drill team, building floats and individual participants. The theme this year is “Around the World.”

The parade will follow a route similar to past years. Please park between the middle school and intermediate school and view from the lawn of the middle school.

The school lunch menus for all Kenston Schools can now be accessed on the district webpage at www.kenstonlocal.com.

Information concerning the menu, nutritional information and payment in regards to the free and reduced lunch plan is also now available.
