TES Student Council Selected

Third-graders selected to represent their class as Student Council members were Summer Corcoran, Bailey Corto, Olivia Dicker, Harry Frampton, Emerson Greene, Tyler Jones, Lindy Kerchenski, Zoey Kost, Ryan Manning, Lucia Martino, Kyle McMahan, L.A. Mighton, Zach Patell, Tyson Paystrup, Hadleigh Schmittel, Faith Smith, Justin Spehar and Sophie Voudris.

Timmons Lunch Bunch

Congratulations to Timmons Elementary School Students selected for Lunch Bunch honors for September.

The following kindergartners honored with “responsibility” awards were Dylan Kindig, Kendall Martin, Charles McBride, Dedrick Montague, Kara Mustin, Sadie Seifrit and Jodi Sell. First-graders honored were Lauren Bayus, Marissa Blackford, Lincoln Bobnar, Donovan Carney, Devin Macsuga, Lillian Matsko and Ryleigh Offut.

Second-graders were Addison Altmann, It’sabella Beskur, Tymir Cardona, Keely Chamberlin, Justin Gilbert, It’sabella Otero, Jackson Rattray and Peter Spellacy; and third-graders were Ethan Arvidson, William Belew, Peter Como, Amy Jarmolowicz, Troy Krahe, Lillian Mills, Gavin Niehenke, Samuel Snyder and Logan Wilson.

KIS Students of the Month

Kenston Intermediate School is pleased to announce their Students of the Month for September. Students selected were honored with either “responsibility” or “hard work” awards.

Recognized were fourth-graders Cooper Craig, Trent Krueger, Lauren Farrell, Jackie Huckabee, Nicholas Lai, Lainey Glasscock, Mariam Arshad, Ben Hamilton, Rylyn Anderson and Lauren Hunder; and fifth-graders, Rachel Adams, Justin Croucher, Zoe Doyle, Alexandra Ensign, Presley Gabram, Kate Hutchison, Leah Jarmolowicz, Madeline Martino, Zoya Miller, Nicole Nelson and Caelan Ryan.

National Honor Society Inductees

Congratulations to Kenston High School students who were recently inducted into the National Honor Society. Each student had to demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, character, leadership and service.

Band on Demand is Back

Support the Kenston High School Marching Band and Bomberettes by purchasing raffle tickets to have them come perform in one’s front yard. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20 and can be purchased from any band member or Bomberette.

The winner will be drawn on Oct. 10 with the performance on Oct. 24. Please contact mozingo@windstream.net for additional tickets or questions.

Dine With White House Chef

The public is invited to an evening of culinary delight with White House chef Sam Morgante on Oct. 18 from 6-10 p.m. at Signature of Solon. Chef Morgante served throughout his military career as White House chef under former Presidents George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

He will answer questions about what really happens at the White House and give an inside look at what is involved in creating a meal for U.S. presidents and their guests as attendees dine on some of the presidents’ favorite dishes.

Only 100 tickets are available at $125 person. Call 440-221-0999 to reserve a seat.

All funds will go toward the Bomberette dance team to perform at the Capital One Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Green Energy Ohio Tour

Kenston Schools will be featured as part of the 12th annual statewide Green Energy Ohio Tour on Oct. 4. At Kenston, the tour will feature the district’s 750 kW Aeronautica wind turbine, 33.12 kilowatt solar PV (photovoltaic) array, with a fixed array, tracker and reference array along with a solar thermal array. All major renewable energy equipment is American made.
