KIS Students of the Month
Kenston Intermediate School is pleased to announce their Students of the Month for September.
Students selected for Student of the Month “respect” awards were fourth-graders Zachary Reiser, Ben Elliott, Miles Irvin, Carley Didier, Katelyn Brogan, Jonah Morgan, Mara DuBay and Maggie Baker; and fifth-graders, Skylar Cornell, Marlowe Toth, Michael McMicken, Lilly Forney, Braden Hunt, Nick Nelson, Nicholas Beebe, Katrina Carlson and Brandon Cloud; Specials, Audrey Cowan, Emma Bobnar, Zachary Pijor and Nathaniel Schaedler.
KIS Run-a-Thon
Kenston Intermediate School students and staff ran and walked more than 1,200 miles around the Bomber Stadium track during the KIS Run-a-thon, its PTO’s fundraiser. Every student had 45 minutes to complete as many laps as possible and collected pledges for each lap. Over the two week fundraiser, fourth and fifth-grade students also participated in recess pedometer challenges and raffle prize drawings for “playing 60” after school.
Congratulations to the students who completed the most laps: fifth-graders Alex Figurella, Matthew Skladany, Maddie Blazey, Skylar Cornell, Sage Edwards and Zoya Miller; and fourth-graders David Clossin, Drew McKenna, Emma Gaskin, Jayme O’Neill and Paige Spicuzza.
