KMS Presents “Bye Bye Birdie”

The cast of Young Performer’s Edition of “Bye Bye Birdie” invites the public to join them for an evening or afternoon of musical theater entertainment. Performances are Jan. 22 at 7 p.m., Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. (understudy performance) and Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. in the Robert A. Lee Auditorium at Kenston High School.

Admission is $10 a seat. Tickets will be available at the door.

When the draft selects rock star Conrad Birdie (Joshua Walls), his fans are devastated, but none more than struggling songwriter Albert Peterson (Phillip Witmer-Rich), whose song Birdie was just about to record. Albert’s longtime girlfriend Rosie (Mandy Glime) pushes Albert to write a new tune that Birdie will perform on television to a fan selected in a contest. The scheme works, with young Ohio teenager Kim McAfee (Madi Scarvelli) declared the winner, but no one has counted on the jealous wrath of her boyfriend (Joshua Masters).
