The 161 members of the NDCL Class of 2019 have been accepted by 110 colleges and universities from coast to coast and nearly everywhere in between, according to a report prepared by the school’s counseling department.

The 161 members of the NDCL Class of 2019 have been accepted by 110 colleges and universities from coast to coast and nearly everywhere in between, according to a report prepared by the school’s counseling department. More than 99 percent of the graduates plan to enroll in college in the fall. Collectively, they’ve been awarded $17.3 million in college scholarships — a new school record.
Living the Truth in Love
Following Thursday’s Baccalaureate Mass, PresidentMichael Bates and PrincipalJoseph A. Waler presented the Living the Truth in Love Award to 12 students who exemplify the mission of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin.
The Living the Truth in Love Award is the highest honor NDCL presents to any student. Four students from each grade receive the award, which is based upon nominations submitted by teachers, counselors, and administrators. Award recipients’ photos hang in the school’s main corridor for a year.
Seniors Carter Callender, Katie Fimiani, Zachary Urda and Alexis Zienka received the Living the Truth Awards for the Class of 2019 during the Senior Honors Ceremony earlier this month.
Students Land Geauga Internships
Following a competitive application and interview process, junior Tim Jerme and senior Hannah Taylor have been selected by the Geauga Growth Partnership for paid internship positions at local businesses this summer.
Tim will work at Sheoga Hardwood Flooring and Paneling, and Hannah will serve her internship with Montville Plastics.
