Living the Truth in Love
President Sr. Jacquelyn Gusdane and Principal Joseph A. Waler recently presented the Living the Truth in Love Award to eight students who exemplify the mission of Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School: NDCL educates leaders who transform the world, as Jesus did, by living the truth in love.
Seniors Carlee Duggan and Conner Washington were honored during the Senior Honors Ceremony on May 10.
Then, following the Baccalaureate Mass on May 22, juniors Julia Backos, of Newbury, and Chandler Brandetsas, of Mentor; sophomores Harison Bhanoo, of Chagrin Falls, and Madeline Spicer, of Aurora; and freshmen Briana Cowman, of Auburn Township, and Zachary Zienka, of Kirtland, received their awards
Each semester faculty members nominate students for the Living the Truth in Love Award, which is the highest honor NDCL presents to any student. A selection committee chooses two students of each grade from nominations submitted by teachers, counselors and administrators. Award recipients’ photos hang in the school’s main corridor for a year.
