Seventh-Grade Surgeons
Through a program presented by Dr. Maria Madden, STEM students were able to perform laparoscopic surgery using state-of-the art laparoscopic medical equipment.
With the aid of a watermelon and pasta embedded inside, each student was able to scope the insides of a watermelon and surgically cut pasta while viewing it on the monitor.
First Communion Celebration
Many second-grade students at NDES celebrated their First Communion as a school community on May 18. Each child involved in the communion celebration has a special part in the Mass. It is a special tradition at school.
Students Perform ‘Imagine’
Students in grades 5-8 performed “Imagine,” an inventive tale of “what-ifs” written by NDES seventh-graders Anna Egensperger, Hanna Gemmell and Grace Crouser.
Under the guidance of music specialist Jack Radicelli, the students performed a wide variety of both popular numbers and contemporary Christian music.
The show featured small and large choral ensembles as well as creative dance numbers that were choreographed by the NDES students.
