Walkathon Pep Rally
On Feb. 5, Notre Dame Elementary students kicked off their fifth annual walkathon with a pep rally. The actual walkathon will be held May 23.
Each student received a Walkathon packet filled with sponsorship letters. Each child will write letters to their families, friends and local businesses and ask for donations to support the event.
All money raised will benefit the children of Notre Dame Elementary School by enhancing their STEM and technology programs.

Lunch With A Loved One
NDES held the Scholastic Book Fair Feb. 10-12. During the book fair, each first-grader was able to have “lunch with a loved one.”
The annual event is a wonderful chance for the children to have some one-on-one time with their parents or a loved one. They can then view the vast assortment of books together.
NDES Experiences Skatetime
All fourth through eighth-graders in Mrs. Allison Lowe’s physical education class are learning how to roller-skate during the month of February. All skates are rented through Skatetime School Programs.
Students are learning proper skate safety as well as developing coordination and balance. It is a wonderful lifelong sport.
7th-Grade Student Speeches
Each student in Mrs. Kelly Stefanek’s seventh-grade class practiced speaking and presentation skills while becoming a famous person. Not only were the costumes authentic, but the seventh-graders also provided a wealth of information on their selected person.
