STEM Earthquake Designs
Sixth-grade STEM class put their knowledge to the test by designing earthquake resistant structures using cost-effective building practices. Researching engineering methods, students used marshmallows and straws to create a structure. Once assembled, constructions were put through simulated earthquakes to test for durability.
