Olympic Games 2022

Seventh-grade social studies students recently finished their unit on Ancient Greece and wrapped up the section by competing in a class Olympics since Ancient Greece was the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Students showed off their academic skills in Jeopardy and created the tallest building made only of construction paper in five minutes. They also competed in athletic skills such as a basketball knock-out game and volleyball serving contest.

Students found that although Athens admired the mind and Sparta admired strength, it takes a combination of cooperation, brains and strength to win in Ms. Thompson’s Olympic Games.
