Science Olympiad Takes Bronze
The Chardon Middle School Science Olympiad team placed third in the regional science competition held Feb. 23 at Case Western Reserve University. The award-winning team took gold medals in two events: Meteorology and Shock Value.
Twenty-two schools from across the Cleveland area competed for the opportunity to advance to the Ohio state competition to be held on April 27 at Ohio State University in Columbus.
Chardon’s third place win guarantees the school a spot at the state tournament; they are the only Geauga County school to so qualify.
Science Olympiad is a national program aimed at hands-on learning to develop science, math and engineering skills for K-12 students.
