The solemn season of lent begins March 1 and Alleluia will not be heard in church again until Easter Sunday. “Alleluia” filled St. Helen Catholic Church on Feb. 28 as students said “goodbye” to this word that is an expression of rejoicing. Rev. Jay McPhillips, pastor, reminded students that alleluia is the song of the angels.
