Students Fare Well at Fair

Many children from preschool through eighth grade at St. Helen School received trophies or ribbons for various events at the Great Geauga County Fair. Awards included horseback riding, animal raising, showmanship, plants and baking, as well as other arts and crafts. Students’ trophies and ribbons are on display at the school.

Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day was a grand occasion at St. Helen School. Grandparents attended Mass with their grandchildren, where Father Jay McPhillips told them of his “Nana” and her unconditional love.  Over 150 grandparents agreed that their relationship with their grandchildren is special.

Grandparents and students were treated to coffee, juice, donuts and cookies as the children in kindergarten through second grade entertained with songs and poems. Grandparents’ visits to the classrooms completed the morning.
