The apple harvest continues with Ms. Kimberly Dorka’s first-grade class as they went from investigators to bakers.

St. Helen kindergartners got an up-close look at what it takes to be a fireman at the Newbury Volunteer Fire Department – from the trucks, to the clothes, to the proper equipment.

Mrs. Theresa Charmley’s kindergarten class got around Newbury on Sept. 22 with the first field trip of the year. One of their stops was hitting the books at the Newbury branch of the Geauga Public Library. They learned all about how the library works and heard a story or two.

St. Helen kindergartners rounded out their field trip on Sept. 22 with a stop at Diane Schneider’s shop, DS Cakes and Sweet Café.
