On Jan. 18, students at St. Helen School competed in the school spelling bee. Mario Romagni, of Burton, was the winner and Jack Slattery, of Burton, was runner-up. Both are fifth-grade students.
Mario will represent St. Helen School at the Geauga County Spelling Bee on Feb. 15.
Open House and Registration
St. Helen School will hold its open house and registration for 2018-19 on Jan. 28 from 12-2 p.m. during Catholic Schools Week.
Junior high science fair projects will be on display. Student ambassadors will provide tours. Faculty and staff will be available to answer questions about the school.
Registration for preschool and grades kindergarten through grade eight will also be available. New families that register on Sunday will receive a free gift and will be entered into a drawing for a free registration fee (a $175 value).
