Santa Shop Lessons
Students from St. Helen School learned many lessons shopping at the St. Helen Santa Shop on Nov. 29. First, they made a Christmas list with all the important people in their lives and made nametags for each person. Next, they set a dollar amount to spend on each person. Finally, they shopped for gifts provided by various crafters in the area and had to stay within their budget. It was quite a challenge.
The gifts were then wrapped by parent and grandparent volunteers and tagged for that special someone on each of their lists. Hopefully, on Christmas morning, the children will see the joy their gifts bring to others and what a blessing it can be to give rather than receive.
