In Search of Missing Alumni
St. Mary School is on the lookout for all school graduates to join a new alumni website launched this week. St. Mary School made a commitment to begin implementation of the Alumni Channel for its online alumni community with help from local business sponsors, including Thomas E. Pyle Insurance. Alumna Jennifer Pyle Nieto ’83 is leading the effort.
This year the school will graduate its 50th class and would like to use this opportunity to bring all alumni back together … if not physically, then at least online.
“We needed a technology solution that would enrich our existing website while reducing costs associated with direct mailings. This new site will allow us to provide an interactive, customized experience for each visitor, including opportunities to connect with each other, view school and class events and support current school activities,” said Maureen Intihar, director of development.
“Schools face a real challenge in keeping connected with alumni who, after graduation, scatter throughout the world,” said Chris Gehringer, president of Alumni Channel. “St. Mary Chardon is taking a leadership position in how it uses technology to give its alumni, regardless of where they live, an easy way to stay involved.”
With only a few email addresses on file, the school is now embarking on an integrated marketing campaign to increase awareness and introduce benefits of registering on the new site. If you are a former student, or know someone who is, please register for free on the new site: www.alumni.stmaryschoolchardon.org.
Learning Fair
St. Mary School will host a Learning Fair April 16 from 6:30-8 p.m. The free event will showcase projects of the students in grades K-8. The community is welcome to come.
The fifth-grade students have researched individual animals and worked together with their art and technology teachers to create displays.
