Masked Singer Competition

The new hit series, “The Masked Singer” on Fox TV, is hosted by Nick Cannon and features celebrities singing in head-to-toe costumes and face masks that conceal their identities from other contestants, the panelists and the audience. Judges and panelists use their performances to guess their identity.

St. Mary School Chardon wrapped up Catholic Schools Week celebration under the theme, “St. Mary ROCKS,” with its own version of the Masked Singer competition. Brave students, parents and staff members hid their identity and sang to the school assembly hoping to conceal their identity from the judges.

First-grader Charlie Intihar started off the competition with his version of “Hand Clap” dressed as a Storm Trooper. Then, came many junior high competitors dressed as lions, Christmas characters and even SpongeBob and Patrick. Junior high teachers Julie Fedak and Juliet Peterson put their hats in the ring as Burt and Ernie, and Mr. Chris Pawar blew the crowd away with his live Kiss concert. The assembly wrapped up with a whole school dance party.
