Discover West G High School

Come discover what sets West Geauga High School apart at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 in the cafeteria and explore the many opportunities available to students. Open to all local public, private, parochial, and homeschool families, the event showcases big-school opportunities in a close-knit school community.

Learn about Excel TECC career and technical programs, College Credit Plus (CCP) college courses and the strong selection of STEM and business classes. Families will also see how the flexible four-year career pathways help students prepare for college, trades, the military or the workforce with guidance from the dedicated school counseling team.

Presentations will be given by Principal Ryan Patti, the Lakeland CCP coordinator, West Geauga school counselors, department chairs and the director of Career Pathways.

Thanksgiving Giving Shines

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Lindsey Elementary families, the 2025 Baskets of Love Thanksgiving food drive was a major success. Student Council members kicked off the initiative with eye-catching posters throughout the halls and contagious enthusiasm. In just four days, every signup spot was filled, with additional donations still coming in.

Students assembled 18 baskets filled with everything needed for a Thanksgiving feast. Upon delivery, each basket included a turkey, pie, potatoes, juice, rolls and all the trimmings, delivering kindness and holiday cheer to 18 families in need.

The Lindsey community helped make a meaningful impact, demonstrating the value of giving to others.

Science on the Move

West Geauga Middle School eighth-grade science students have kicked off their marble roller coaster project. Using insulation tubing and a marble, they’ll design and build their own coaster while applying core physical science concepts such as potential and kinetic energy, gravitational potential energy, acceleration and friction. The hands-on activity fosters creativity, collaboration and critical thinking as students bring their ideas to life.
