Artwork On Display
Lindsey Elementary is proud to announce that fourth-grader Alexa Pistone-Nascone has had artwork chosen to be exhibited in the 2013 Ohio Art Education Association’s Young People’s Art Exhibition. The exhibit represents Ohio students in grades K-8 and is on display at Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus during the month of March.
There were 124 pieces selected for the juried show from the nine regions of the state that represent OAEA. The exhibit is sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association, which is the professional organization for art teachers in Ohio, with a membership of nearly 2,000 educators.
OAEA works to promote the arts and recognizes quality student art throughout the state through various exhibits at state and regional levels. The Young People’s Art Exhibition comes about through many volunteer hours by art teachers in Ohio. A reception and award ceremony will be held at Rhodes Office Tower on March 16 for the young artists, their families and teachers.
In addition, third-grader Amanda Loewenthal has her artwork exhibited in the Youth Art Month show, which is also in Columbus. Amanda’s work will be on display at the State Teachers Retirement Building.
