Winter Wellness Day
Westwood Elementary School held its first Winter Wellness Day on Jan. 31 and it was a huge success.
Westwood students wore their grade level Westwood Walk T-shirts. The PTO provided a healthy snack, and students kept a weeklong log of healthy choices they made each day at home and at school.
There was a poster contest with the theme, “Healthy Me at West G,” and students explored activities to encourage healthy choices.
Jayne Butram from IKC Karate, Denise Musgrave from Power Vinyasa Yoga and Leah Lambert Dustin from Fit Girl, LLC demonstrated their programs for Westwood students.
Information will be available in the front hall bin at Westwood on upcoming programs that they will be offering to the community.
