‘Pride and Prejudice’ Opens at GLTG

May 15-17

Geauga Lyric Theater Guild opens its sixth year of the Teen Drama Project with “Pride and Prejudice,” based on Jane Austen’s classic novel. After intense shows such as “The Crucible” and “I Never Saw Another Butterfly,” Director Angela Miloro-Hansen decided it was time for a lighter subject. The goal of the teen drama project is to encourage quality productions while educating the cast in theater and immersing them in the era and social significance of the play.

This year brings newcomers as well as “veterans” such as Katie Malish, last seen on the GLTG stage as Luisa in “The Fantastiks,” and It’sabella Mastrey, who recently played Rose in “Bye Bye Birdie.” Both, eager to portray new characters, are also eager for the side benefits of the project.

Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Enjoy a romantic comedy for only $6, and see some true emerging talent.

To purchase tickets, visit www.geaugatheater.org or call the box office at 440-286-2255. Geauga Theater is located at 101 Water St. in Chardon. Special thanks to marquee sponsor Junction Auto Family.
