NASA Visits WGMS
Students in Mrs. Radel’s seventh-grade classes were fortunate to visit with NASA aerospace engineer Tom DeMichael who came to speak about the topic of space exploration.
West Geauga Middle School students are currently researching the innovations in space exploration during the late 1960s. Mr. DeMichael discussed the impact that NASA and space exploration had on this period of time.
Sphero Robots Take Over
Students in Mr. Passafiume’s WGMS computer classes have been having fun with interactive Sphero robots.
Robotics is an important part of the curriculum as these students combine their knowledge of physics with coding in order to operate these mini-robots.
With the current focus on technology and technology-based jobs, all eighth-grade students participate in computer classes throughout the year at WGMS to prepare them for the rigors of the high school curriculum.
